On 7/21/2005 Miles was pulled from the Pulaski County Animal Shelter and turned over to Sylvia King of Blue Ridge Border Collie Rescue. I am a fellow volunteer with BRBCR. I met Miles on 7/22/05 and knew we had to make him a part of our family. He was formally adopted on 8/10/05. We had hoped he would be my husband's agility partner, but Miles had other goals and aspirations. He loves people and dogs and FOOD! Agility isn't his thing. He has attended obedience class and passed as the star of the class. Took and passed the Canine Good Citizens test and Therapy Dog International evaluation. He is now a member of the Culpeper, Va Welcome Waggers chapter of TDI. We visit local nursing homes, rehab facilities, and libraries. Miles was meant to "therapize". That is what my agility friends call it when he comes over and flops over on their feet for attention.
Since joining our family he has had perfect house manners. He gets along great with his 4 year old Border Collie brother. A more perfect addition to our family couldn't exist. Thanks so much for saving this furry soul. And yes he still smiles! I am sending a picture of what he looked like when you knew him (to freshen your memory) and one taken this summer. Again many thanks for finding a rescue group to take him. We love him dearly!
